1878-1893
A New Business Is
Established in Lancaster County
· In 1878, Moses Snavely, a native of Lancaster County, started a lumber and feed business at Osceola, Paradise Township.
1894-1916
The Second
Generation Takes Over
· In 1894, Moses Snavely sold the mill and residence to his son, Jesse C. Snavely.
· 1916 - Osceola Mills was sold in two parcels. A month later, J.C. Snavely purchased the lumber, coal and feed business in Landisville. Total employment, five men, a one-horse delivery wagon and a two-horse coal team.
1917-1933
World War I,
Stock Market Crash
· 1919, another Snavely first. The first Douglas fir timber barn was sold and erected.
1934-1949
Economic
Recovery, New Snavely Facilities
· 1940, Snavely built the first phase of a planning mill to manufacture architectural woodwork - 4 employees. Contractor customers increased, so a new office & retail store was created, increasing sales volume considerably.
1950-1978

· 1960’s - Snavely’s future moved to the development of prefabricated buildings in residential, farm and industrial structures.
1980-1989
A
Decade Of Changing Economy, Expansion
· 1988 - Snavely's 10,00 sq. ft. mill, Lancaster City,relocated to Centerville, Lancaster County, to a newly constructed, 52,000 sq. ft., state-of-the-art, architectural millwork facility.
· 1989 - Snavely's old mill is renovated into a 15,000 sq. ft. contractor and retailand Remodeling Center,company's 4 acre, Lancaster City, location.
1990-2004
Moving
Forward - A New Century
· 1993-1998 sees more company growth as production plant additions and other storage buildings are erected. New computerized production equipment and updated specialized software programs are implemented in Truss, Wall Panel & Millwork design facilitiesproduction plants.
· 1998 - Snavely implements more growth as it’s newly expanded Roofing and Siding Division is based at the Company’s Building & Remodeling Center, Lancaster, Pa.
· 2002 - Snavely purchases an adjacent, 10.22-acre, property in Landisville.
· 2003 -After2002of property, the company relocates its Roofing & Siding Division to Landisville, allowing this divisionlarge.
· 2004 - Snavely has expands It's pre-hung door production. The Door Division remains at Landisville and is now in a much larger building, with an increase in modern computerized production equipment. It'sgrowing; modernoutput, enhances quality and increases sales.
· 2005 - With over 200 employees, company-wide, Snavely’s remains
on the cutting edge of technology and is still growing. Snavely's con-
tinues to expand It's vehicle delivery fleet, now well over 30 trucks
with specialized equipment. Today, with many new ideas in the plan-
ning stages, Snavely maintains it’s dedication to Customer Service...

• 1988 - Construction of a new 52,000 sq. ft. state-of-the-art architectural millwork facility.
1990-2007
Moving Forward - A New Century
• 1993-1998 sees more company growth as production plant additions and other storage

• 1998 - Snavely implements more growth as its newly expanded Roofing & Siding Division
was based at the Company’s Lancaster Building & Remodeling Center.
• 2002 -Snavely’s has purchased an adjacent, 10.22 acre, property in Landisville. With this
expansion, the company has relocated it’s Roofing & Siding Division to Landisville.
• 2003 - Snavely’s Drywall Division moved to the Corporate Headquarters, Landisville, PA.
• 2004 -Snavely’s has expanded It’s pre-hung door production. Hence, the Door Division is now
in a much larger building, with more modern equipment, at our company’s Landisville
location.
• 2005 - 2007—With over 150 employees, company-wide, Snavely’s remains on the cutting edge
of technology and is still growing. Snavely's continues to expand It's vehicle delivery fleet, now
well over 30 trucks with specialized equipment. Today, with many new ideas in the planning
